CHARACTERS/PAIRING: This started out as a Buffy Summers & Angel fic, but it's going to be heavy on the Angel/Connor relationship.

NOTES: This is AU in that Buffy was not brought back until Connor attempts to put Angel into the ocean. Season 3 of Angel is cannon, but Season 6 of Buffy is not. I have, however, incorporated some of the bleakness we saw at the beginning of Season 6 before Buffy was back.
